A Note from Alison.
Seth and I have worked together for the past seven years. I owe him so much for all the success he has brought me. I first approached Seth as an average junior golfer with ambitions to improve. My ambitions soon changed when I improved significantly as a player under his instruction. Today, I am striving to play professionally.
When I first started working with Seth in the fall of 2001 I had many swing flaws. My poor fundamentals as a junior player led to a severe reverse pivot and weak shots. Over the years my tendencies have changed but I am always working on my fundamentals. Nonetheless we have since reconstructed my golf swing. I will never forget the first year I started to work with Seth. My scores began to soar and my play worsened. It didnt take long before I became more and more frustrated. But he always told me that I may get worse before getting better. I continually trusted him. With hard work and devoting the time to practice he was right. Seth has always had me on the right track. If it werent for that first year of frustration I wouldnt be where I am today.
The relationship I have with Seth is one of the major reasons why I have improved so much as a player. Since being a collegiate golfer, I have noticed all my teammates and friends in college golf have their own swing coaches. However, I have never heard anyone of them talk the way in which I do about Seth. I respect him so much for what he has done for me. He treats me with the utmost respect as well. We both admittedly love the game of golf and we both want to succeed at what we do. This combination is what makes our team such a success. Seth is an extremely outgoing and friendly person who instills an excitement about the game that makes me want to improve and learn more. He understands that I dont know all the facts and terminology of the golf swing so he is always explaining by demonstrating himself or showing through video. I find this method extremely helpful. Seth has taught me to teach myself which has been extremely helpful.
Seth is extremely devoted and passionate about what he does. I have never seen someone love and adore what they do so much as I have seen with Seth. Seth is a great golfer himself who has basically given up the majority of his time to play something he loves and has committed himself to helping others. I personally have watched him go from being this incredible player with great potential to someone who devotes a significant amount of time and research into golf instruction it just amazes me. I realize how much he truly loves to do what he does. As a student of his, it ensures me a sense of trust and satisfaction to know that I am dealing with a true professional.
