Concord, NH - As spring is in the air and golf fever abounds, Havenwood-Heritage Heights announces that Tracy Martin will be a part of the field this July when the USI Championship is played at Beaver Meadow Golf Course.
Over the past few months, Michael Palmieri, Tournament Director and President/CEO of Havenwood-Heritage Heights, worked very closely with the New Hampshire Women’s Golf Association (NHWGA). “The leadership of the NHWGA are great fans of the game and this event. The work they do behind the scenes is deliberate and very professional. They always make a wonderful amateur recommendation and each of the young women we have invited as amateurs have been very representative of our state and the game they are so passionate about”.
Tracy is senior and an honor roll student at Bishop Guertin High School and has a handicap of +0.4. In June of 2008 she posted a career low score of 65 at Brentwood Country Club in Keene, NH. With a list of golf accomplishments more than a page and a half long, Tracy has several wins under her belt ranging from High School events to American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournaments. Tracy and her family were thrilled about this opportunity and we can expect to see her play a few practice rounds at Beaver Meadow Golf Course as the nice weather begins to come around. She is expected to attend the University of Richmond where she is slated to be a key part of the Women’s Golf Team in the fall.
The USI Championship will be contested over three days (July 24-26, 2009) and is a 54 stroke play event. It is held at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord, NH. The field of 143 professional golfers will compete for a total purse of $90,000 - the highest ever at this event. The amateur is not eligible for this prize money but the experience they can gain is very valuable to a promising golf career.
